OJSC KAMAZ, a member of State Corporation Rostekhnologii (Rostec), is summing up the results of 2013. The company’s top manager Sergey Kogogin gave a big interview to the company’s mass media in which he announced the company’s plans for 2014.

According to Sergey Kogogin, the 2014 business plan is not so easy to implement. “We approved the plan for manufacture of 43 thousand vehicles,” KAMAZ’s top manager said. “This is a slightly higher figure than in this year’s plan, but we are not expecting positive changes in the Russian economy, and, as a matter of fact, in other countries too – we see stagnation, recession virtually everywhere.” At the same time, KAMAZ set more difficult goals for itself intentionally. “Our sellers, designers, manufacturers and purchasers have started jointly working on our model range, on tasks which we must perform,” Mr. Kogogin said.

On December 9 the first owners received 20 KAMAZ-5490 (M1842) long-haul tractors at a solemn ceremony held at the final assembly stages in a cabin shop of the Automobile Plant.

The representatives of ten organizations received keys for the brand-new KAMAZ trucks from Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ. The first owners of the long-haul tractors which have no analogues in the Russian auto industry are SIM-Avto (Moscow), Krasnodarskiy avtotsentr KAMAZ, Chelyabinsk’s KAMAZAVTOMARKET, Vladimir Koryakin, a private entrepreneur from the city of Volgograd, other cargo carriers. Kurgan’s APH Shturman Kredo+ and Naberezhnochelninskiy avtotsentr KAMAZ bought the vehicles for a test drive. The largest batch of ten trucks was obtained by PJSC AVTOVAZTRANS which received the vehicles under a lease agreement concluded with GC KAMAZ-LEASING.

The vehicles were obtained even before rolling off the assembly line: the trucks given to their owners today are a pre-new year batch of 96 new KAMAZ vehicles bought without seeing. The first contracts for leasing of the would-be vehicles were concluded in September, at the COMTRANS-2013 exhibition. According to Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, it was done thanks to entrepreneurial vision of the first owners of the unique KAMAZ vehicles, “They immediately realized that these advanced products have good prospects.”
