A batch of road equipment on the KAMAZ-53605 chassis was delivered to the administration of the Amur region.

A total of 17 units of combined road vehicles based on the KAMAZ-53605 chassis were purchased by the Ministry of transport of the Amur region on behalf of the head of the Amur region Vasily Orlov. Cars – «vacuum cleaners» are designed to clean the streets of stones, fallen leaves and other debris. In order not to obstruct traffic, cars will only be used at night.

«The sweeper has a Central brush and is equipped with an additional motor that creates a vacuum. Thanks to this, the garbage is collected, sucked up and subsequently enters a special 7 cubic meter hopper. After that, the car goes to a specialized landfill and unloads it. The equipment is reliable, we give it a guarantee of two years or 100 thousand kilometers of mileage», – commented Vladimir Azarov, a sales specialist at Auto center Samaragd LLC.

The special construction of the car was made by the official partner of KAMAZ – Kurgandormash JSC. The large volume of the bunker makes this model indispensable when cleaning huge territories and areas of airports. The presence of a manual picker in the basic configuration ensures the use of equipment in hard-to-reach places, as well as emptying garbage cans. The machines can be used both in summer and in winter. In summer, the machine is used for cleaning city roads, highways, squares, airports with asphalt and cement-concrete surfaces, as well as cleaning tray areas from dust, sand, rubble, leaves and debris. In winter, it is used for plow – brush cleaning of roads from snow masses, ice and sludge using a front blade and a rear brush.

«As the equipment, including attachments, is a Russian assembly, the vehicles are quite easy to operate. Plus, of course, this is the availability of service and spare parts», – said Kristina Papirnaya, commercial Director of Auto Center Samaragd LLC.

The equipment includes a waste bin, a system for sucking and feeding estimates to the hopper, an autonomous motor for driving all working bodies, a water tank, a humidification system, a central brush, a suction unit in the side overhangs of the machine, a hydro – and pneumatic system.

Supplier of equipment became the official dealer of KAMAZ PTC –Auto centre Smaragd LLC. Cars will start working in the municipalities of the Amur region after registration.

On September 9, as part of a working trip to Naberezhnye Chelny, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov tested the latest model of the auto giant’s product line – the KAMAZ-54901 mainline tractor and talked to the workers of the KAMAZ press and frame plant.

Driving a new truck, Rustam Minnikhanov was interested in its technical characteristics. “We are testing KAMAZ-54901 – the fifth generation! It’s driving great,” the president commented later.

Also, Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with a new Mercedes-Benz Actros mainline tractor with a Euro-6 engine. The truck cab with the use of various local auto components was manufactured at the DAIMLER KAMAZ RUS JV, which specializes in the production of cab frames for Mercedes-Benz and KAMAZ trucks. Serial production of the Mercedes-Benz Actros will begin in November.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also visited the KAMAZ press-frame plant, where he got acquainted with the progress of the implementation of a large-scale production modernization project and talked with representatives of the labor collective.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that KAMAZ has very good development prospects, stressing that of all the automobile plants in Russia, this is the only enterprise that independently develops its vehicles.

A new KAMAZ-Blicico start-up is being implemented at KAMAZ, which provides for IT-insurance of vehicles.

KAMAZ is gradually switching to IT-insurance of its vehicles: the new system will determine at what point in time, on which road, with what load, at what speed the truck is moving, where it made stops, and based on this, calculate the insurance. The Blicico aggregator of insurance, participating in the project, has existed for three years already, in its practice it has insurance of life, cargo, vehicles. It is the only company of its kind in Tatarstan that is ready to provide smart insurance based on modern technologies.

The developers set themselves the task of making the truck insure itself. Thanks to a special system, it will independently activate the insurance while driving: take into account the speed, monitor the track. If the driver used to have to buy classic insurance for a certain period and pay for it even when the vehicle was not in use, now they only pay for the time the vehicle is in movement. Accident insurance will be offered when the truck is parked. This is the essence of “smart” insurance: almost all the work is performed by a special device, which eliminates the human factor and saves time and money on insurance. As for the payment of such insurance, it also has the status of “smart”. You can buy a so-called insurance package or pay after the fact, at the end of a certain period.
