The gas and diesel KAMAZ-54901 (4×2) truck tractor was presented at the specialized forum and exhibition Ural Transport, which took place in Ufa from September 27 to September 29, 2021.
KAMAZ presented the gas-diesel KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor at its exhibition stand. The dual-fuel vehicle is an offspring of the K5 freight truck line. It is equipped with a new 450-horsepower KAMAZ R6 (Euro 5) engine. The dual-fuel motor uses a mixture of diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) in the ratio 60/40, respectively. This helps save diesel fuel greatly by operation. The automated gearbox installed is ZF 12TX2210TD.
The truck is equipped with a 400-liter fuel tank and four gas cylinders of 100 liters each. The driving distance in the gas-diesel mode is 500 km. The total cruising range is 1,300 km. The cab on a spring four-point suspension is high and 2,500 mm wide. It can be equipped with one or two berths.
Serial production and sales of the gas-diesel KAMAZ-54901 are scheduled for the first half of 2022.
