Based on the results of three quarters of this year, KAMAZ produced more than 3 thousand fifth-generation trucks – KAMAZ-54901 tractors, which is 2.5 times higher than the volume of their production for the same period last year.

The company’s report for 9 months noted that in January-September 2022, 1.15 thousand K5 trucks were produced. According to production statistics, the production of the flagship KAMAZ-54901 tractors continues to gather pace. If we compare the results only for September month-over-month, the production of new vehicles has increased fourfold – from 150 to 600 units.

In the last month before the introduction of Western economic sanctions against Russia – that is, in February last year – the company launched 407 KAMAZ-54901 trucks onto the market.

KAMAZ is taking part in the YUGAGRO-2023 International Exhibition, which opened today in Krasnodar.

The KAMAZ-54901 prime mover is demonstrated at the exhibition in a coupling with an on-board semi-trailer-grain truck, TZA-933436. The truck is equipped with modified cooling systems, neutralization, electrical equipment, an on-board information system, and cab suspension.

The volume of the platform of the semi-trailer grain carrier TZA-933436 is 55–58 cubic meters, the curb weight is 7,480 kg, and the gross weight is 48 tons. The side boards are upper blind, the lower ones are on the upper hitch, and the rear side is a swing gate.

The second exhibit is a grain truck 68903G on a KAMAZ-65117-B5 (6×4) chassis, which is designed to transport agricultural crops (grain, seeds, rapeseed, flax, etc.). The truck is equipped with engine with a capacity of 390ho (Euro 5). The cabin is made in the “Restyling 2” version and is equipped with electric windows, remote control of rear-view mirrors, cruise control, a sleeping place, an adjustable steering column in the angle of inclination and height, an air suspension driver’s seat, as well as air conditioning.

The volume of the 68903G grain carrier platform is 32 cubic meters, the curb weight is 11,325 kg, and the gross vehicle weight is 26 tons (the weight of the transported cargo is 14,600 kg).

Drivers of KAMAZ divisions and subsidiaries took part in the professional skills competition “KAMAZ Cup-2023”, held in Naberezhnye Chelny at the Technogorod cartodrome.

The traditional competition was held on the initiative of the KAMAZ Logistics Center for the 14th time. It was attended by 28 drivers from nine divisions and subsidiaries of the auto giant. Welcoming the participants, Deputy Director of the Transport Logistics Department of the Logistics Center Evgeny Naborshchikov wished everyone to use their experience and knowledge as much as possible and not to miss luck on the highway.

Before the competition, all participants passed an exam for knowledge of the rules of the road. Directly at the cartodrome, each contestant had to go through a “tunnel”, then, moving in reverse, carefully brake in front of the stop zone, pass the baton, stop again at the stop line and finish. One of the most difficult and spectacular stages is the relay race: here the driver must remove the ring from the bracket of the first rack on the move and transfer it to the second one, located at a distance of 10 meters. By the way, the trajectory of the distance was built in the form of an inscription K5. The risk of getting penalty points was at every stage, especially dangerous was the spade for the stop line.

According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by an experienced driver Peter Ivanov from STFC KAMAZ. He has been participating in driving competitions for more than 15 years, more than once became the winner and prize-winner of competitions, including All-Russian ones. The total driving experience of Peter Ivanov is 43 years. The second place belongs to the driver of the same division, Mars Fakhrullin, and the third place belongs to the representative of Auto Parts KAMAZ, Farit Shayakhmetov.
