KAMAZ-5460 4X2 GCW 40000 KG, TRACTOR TRUCK (PRIME MOVER)
The new KamAZ-5490 is a modern long-haul truck tractor with a cab of enthusiastic comfort, a German-made powertrain and increased payload. The cabin was made of solid metal and has an attractive appearance, high-quality four-point pneumatic suspension, aerodynamic body kit and electric tipping drive. The car interior was improved, it included: a high roof and a couple of berths, with which the machine can be operated for freight traffic at the inter-regional and international level.
The leadership of Tatarstan called it a diamond. They created a model with the goal that it could replace the previous variation of the 5460 family. Therefore, the new machine could become a real technological find
The novelty was presented at the ComTrans-2011 exhibition. The development was carried out by the largest Russian manufacturer KamAZ and the company Daimler Trucks. Back in 2007, an international tender was held for the design of a new cab model for subsequent generations of trucks.
Powertrain
The brand new main tractor simply surprises with its own technical component. The first thing I want to note is a couple of brand new powertrains. You can choose from the basic 11.76-liter 4-stroke engine with 8-cylinders and diesel-powered KamAZ-740.75-440. He received the equipment of a turbocharger system with intermediate air cooling.
The engine produces about 440 horsepower, and the torque is 1,900 rpm. Specialists plan that this power unit could meet the environmental requirements of Euro-4 and was in the KamAZ 5490 DMEC modification.
It also provides a motor that was developed by specialists from Germany. It is represented by a six-cylinder 4-stroke turbodiesel Mercedes-Benz OM 457LA. Despite the fact that it meets European environmental standards, the engine produces about 428 horses, so it’s simply impossible to call it weak.
Its main advantage is profitability.
