The delegation of Otto Junker GmbH and Reichmann & Sohn GmbH (Germany) visited KAMAZ as part of the reengineering of the foundry.
Specialists visited the production of iron castings and took part in negotiations on the prospects of cooperation. Foreign guests include Carl Kustermann, Design and Sales Director of Reichmann & Sohn GmbH and Michael Bartel, Production Director, Brown Thorsten, Project Manager and Kring Holger, Chief Designer, representing Otto Junker GmbH.
The Otto Junker GmbH company has been selected as the supplier of induction cast iron aging furnaces as part of the Foundry Engineering Project. The contract provides for the supply of three units that will be installed in the production of iron castings.
At the foundry the preparatory work for the installation of equipment has already begun. A discussion of technical issues that need to be taken into account in the preparation process was held during the February visit of Otto Junker specialists to KAMAZ. Delivery of the first furnace to the foundry is scheduled for August 2020, equipment installation will begin in the fall of 2020.
The visit of the delegation of Reichmann & Sohn GmbH was one of the steps in preparation for the purchase of stripping equipment for the production of iron castings. Previously, the company received technical specifications from the foundry. The negotiations were devoted to issues that arose between representatives of the manufacturer. Based on the information obtained as a result of a discussion of technical issues with KAMAZ casters, the company will prepare a quotation for participation in the tender.
In addition, during February several more manufacturers of cleaning equipment will visit the plant to discuss prospects for cooperation.
